What is Telemetry?

Telemetry is a technique used in transmitting and receiving information or data over a medium. The information can be measurements, such as voltage, speed or flow. These data are transmitted to another location through a medium such as cable, telephone or radio.Information may come from multiple locations (in our case, multiple river locations)

Telemetry can be used to relay a wide range of information to the user. For example, the fishermen in the picture to the left could have used the internet to find out real time information regarding the rivers condition such as:

- River level
- Flow rate
- River temperature

Telemetric information is represented by graphs and figures that need a certain ammount of interpretation by the user.
